Lead Product/UI/UX Designer

7 Cups of Tea is looking for a Lead Product/UI/UX Designer. In this role, you will lead our team in creating simple and intuitive interfaces for our Web and mobile products.

About 7 Cups

Mental health is in a state of crisis. One in four adults suffers from mental illness in a given year, and it is the leading cause of disability in the United States. Sadly, many people never seek help due to the stigma and expense surrounding therapy and other forms of care.
7 Cups of Tea (7 Cups) addresses this problem by using technology to bring compassion and a loving, listening ear into our communities:
  • 7 Cups graduated from the Y Combinator incubator in Silicon Valley in 2013. We are a peer to peer emotional support system. Whenever someone is feeling depressed or lonely, they can get anonymous emotional support from trained active listeners on 7 Cups to feel better. They can use it whenever they want—it’s available on-demand, 24/7, worldwide.
  • Over 100,000 people from 158 countries (in 130 different languages) use the platform each week. We have helped over 2,000,000 people.
  • 7 Cups has partnered with Active Minds, Tumblr, and other high profile companies and non-profits.
  • 7 Cups is backed by the best and brightest investors (firms and many Y Combinator partners).

About the Position

Our work environment is one where you will experience autonomy, mastery, and purpose. We need your big brain engaged, challenged, and solving hard user experience problems. Your work will directly impact the emotional well-being of millions of people. Please read these app reviews and ask yourself if you’d like to play a key role in helping us create the future of mental health.
